Pomegranates

Anybody who knows me can testify to my intense love of pomegranates! They are a reoccurring motif in my art practice, whether it be in jewelry works, linocuts, or glass vessels. As long as I can remember my sister and I have sat together and cut them open, taking each seed out one at a time together. This ritual has become almost meditative for me, as well as incredibly nostalgic. Pomegranates also have immense symbolism and cultural significance to me as a Jewish person. Equal parts beautiful, nostalgic, symbolic, and delicious :)
